♪ Walking Song ♫

I listen to a variety of different genres, mostly depending on my mood. However, I feel like the song that most resonates with me is “Falling Behind” by Laufey. The song is very upbeat and happy, and although it reminds me of elevator music, I like to believe there is meaning behind the choice of rhythm and tune. The theme of the song talks about experiencing loneliness and feeling unlovable due to the inability to find love or experiencing unrequited love. The cheerful tune reminds me of how people often disguise their loneliness or sadness with humor or playfulness. Additionally, these lyrics express how I often feel at times, and some of the lyrics even accurately portray my current relationships in real life. “Falling Behind” is meant for the listeners that are hopeless romantics, and yearn for that spiritual connection, but have difficulty fulfilling these fantasies. I consider myself a hopeless romantic, and listening to this song kind of puts things into perspective on how I’m not the only one that’s feeling isolated from love.
